All of us have heard the statement, The only constant in this world is change. Why is change so hard? Is it the fear of the unknown? Does it take us out of our comfort zone? Or, as the Bible encourages us to do, do we embrace the seasons of our lives?

Whether we resist it or embrace it, change is a cornerstone of our faith. As Christians, each of us has been born again (changed). During our walk with Christ, we are to mature in our faith (change). And finally, we will all be changed in the twinkling of an eye (1Corinthians 15:52).

Nothing stays the same forever with one major exception: God. He is, was and always will be. Remember the beautiful old hymn? On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand. No matter if change is happening in your family, job or personally, keeping Jesus as the foundation of who you are can give you a sense of peace and contentment that this world is simply incapable of providing.

Do you feel like you are “sinking”? If so, I encourage you to find the Rock and grab hold of Him…
