Act on Your Blessings

As God's Children, we receive unmerited blessings everyday of our lives. I believe we miss countless blessings because of our limited ability to accept what Jesus has given us. Not only are these gifts undeserved, they are misunderstood and, at times, not even accepted.

The writer of Psalms (most likely David) speaks about blessings in chapter 91. He also talks about how we as Christians should be acting in response to what God provides. Even in our darkest hours, we still have been given more than we deserved. Daily blessings are taken for granted until they are taken away. We look over the wonderful people and moments in our lives to complain or feel sorry for ourselves.

I know that if God stopped blessing me at this very moment, He would still have given me more than I can ever deserve. Today, I invite you to take a moment, dwell on the blessings in your life, focus on them and thank Jesus for what he has done, is doing and is about to do in your life.

See you in church...
