Easy to say, harder to do. Patience is a trait that I have had to work on most of my life. For many, it truly is a challenge that seems to be harder and harder to master. Society seems to be in a big hurry. I am convinced that it has to do with the (current) pace of life that can be unhealthy and exhausting. Yet, the world tells us that you have to maintain this hurried pace to find happiness and success. I have good news for you my friends, there is a better way. However, I will warn you it takes dedication, pace and faithfulness (hopefully I haven't already lost some of you ;-)

Psalms 27:14 tells us to Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Notice a few important points to this verse: the writer tells us to wait for the Lord twice in one sentence. This means it is either A) very important and/or B) the writer knows his readers may have trouble remembering to be patient unless he tells them twice!

Below is an excerpt from a daily devotional I read; it really spoke to me this week and I wanted to share it with all of you:

The unknown doesn't have to be cause for worry. It's an opportunity for God to work on your behalf. Hand the details over to Him and wait patiently and faithfully for His good plan to come to fruition. The joy of knowing we can always depend on God is a message worth sharing.

Being patient isn't always easy or fun but God is faithful and still in control of every aspect of our lives, if we allow Him to...
