What is your schedule for today? Like many, it may be full of work, kids, errands, and many other tasks that wait for us each day. At the end of the day, do you feel like you truly accomplished something worthwhile? Or, are you just trying to make it through? What about yesterday? Or last month? How about last year? Do you maybe sometimes feel like you are going like crazy but not really getting ahead?

Many are living each day trying to find purpose, passion and their place through schedules and “stuff”. In other words, the more I have and the more I do, the happier. I will be. Right?

When is enough, enough? When will we have enough wealth and material things to be completely satisfied? At what point will our careers fulfill our most deepest needs? The answer is quite simple: NEVER. We are literally chasing after the wind.

The writer of the Book of Ecclesiastes shared his frustrations and feelings of uselessness. In the sixth chapter, he talks about working, going and doing but never (seemingly) having enough. The writer goes onto to say this constant pursuit is useless and that it is better to simply be happy with what we have

It may seem like I am encouraging you to stop living life, nothing could be farther from the truth! As Christians, we have the amazing opportunity to enjoy the blessings of life without having to search for ultimate joy and happiness in doing so…
