Do Not Let Life Get in The Way of Living

How do you spend your day(s)? Your weeks? Months? Years? Are your days filled with the same monotonous routines? Do you find yourselves going to bed at night not remembering one day from the another? You and I were created for more.

Jesus tells us that He came to not only give us life but life more abundantly. He does not want us to just "get through the day". As believers, born again by the Spirit, we have the invitation, opportunity and gift to get up each day with excitement and anticipation of all the things we get to experience! An abundant life is a grateful life, thanking the Savior for all of the unmerited blessings He has given us. An abundant life is a motivated life; one that chooses His purposes over our pain.

Too many times, we let the worries, trials and (so-called) priorities of this world take control of our outlook and emotions. We left everyday life get in the way of living for Jesus. This new year, I encourage each of you to reflect on the difference between just being alive and actually living the amazing life that Jesus is offering.

See you in church tomorrow...
