Do you ever have one of those days where you feel like the world is spiraling out of control? Here lately, these types of days can turn into weeks for some. There is no doubt that evil exists and it seems to be growing in popularity and power. Many of us have asked this question, "God, where are you?"

I want you to first know that He hears our cries and has not abandoned us. I encourage you to read (at least once) Psalm 37; it is an AMAZING passage! The writer talks about the good and evil in the world and gives hope to the believer when evil seems to be at every turn. I could write a year's worth of posts from this chapter of the bible!! However, I would like to take a look at just three verses for today.

Verse 5: Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. As believers, we are instructed to first commit (dedicate) ourselves to God on a daily basis. The key here is commit your entire being and not to pick and choose which parts He gets. The second guideline is to TRUST Him. A commitment to anything/anyone will not last very long if there is not a trust factor that goes along with it.

Verse 13: The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming. I can definitely see this happening in today's world. There are so many people that think they have outsmarted God. No doubt in my mind He is laughing knowing that a day of reckoning is coming for EVERYONE.

Verse 34: Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. Be patient and stay the course. Our reward in heaven is waiting and each of us has a front row seat.

I hope you have a great rest of your week; see you in church Sunday...
