God's Rest

This week's Wednesday Wisdom talked about being tired. The sermon for tomorrow (unless the Lord tells me different between now and then :-) looks at how, we as Christians, find our hope in God's rest. We were created in His image including the need to rest as God did on the seventh day of creation.

Many of us have fallen into the trap of doing "good works" to the point of exhaustion and then wonder why we are so tired. We get caught up in this fast-paced society with our jobs, children and the endless pursuit of trying to find fulfillment in a lost and dying world.

As believers, our hope is the promise of entering into God's rest which is not the same rest the world happily robs us of.

Let's meet together in church tomorrow at Otsego and learn more about how to find true rest and hope in Jesus Christ. The world could definitely use both...
