Have you ever volunteered for something? The desire to serve without reward or recognition is a special gift from God. It provides a feeling like very few others can. The world is full of those that want to see things done, but very few are willing to see that things are done. Through out the history of mankind, God has been looking and asking for volunteers.

Isaiah was an amazing volunteer. In the sixth chapter (verse 8) he answers a literal call to arms from God. It is important to remember that God already has a plan in place before He calls for volunteers. In this passage, He asks, "Whom shall I send?" In other words, who is willing to represent us? Isn't it amazing that God includes you and I in that question! We are a part of His us!! By stepping forward and answering God's call, Isaiah is putting his faith above any fear he may have. Isaiah's response is a complete surrender to God's will and a willingness to go wherever God sends him, even knowing the difficult tasks ahead.

Are you hearing God calling on you? Is it to take a new role in church, or maybe to step out of your comfort zone to minister to a lost and dying world. Perhaps, He is working on your heart right now to stand in the gap. If so, I encourage you to boldly proclaim, Here am I, send me...
