I and Believe are two of the most powerful words in the English language. The meaning behind them has movitated countless people to achieve great things. When our son, Ethan, was a college athlete and being challenged physically and mentally, I simply said to him "I believe". Later he would share how those two words gave him the courage and inspiration to face those challenges.

During this time of the year, many of us have an elevated sense of believing. Whether it be in the spirit of Christmas, the good of mankind or an anticipated joy in the giving and receiving of gifts; recognizing and celebrating the birth of Jesus should bring these emotions out in us.

God's Word shares several things we, as Christians, can believe in: answer to prayer, eternal life, spiritual fullness and salvation just to name a few. All of these things can and should be accepted with a "child-like" faith.

As we continue to celebrate the birth of Jesus, can you honestly say that you believe?

See you in church tomorrow...
