I Do Not Understand

I have never claimed to be the most intelligent person God ever created. Science and math were by far my worst subjects in school! The rapid pace of new technology has definitely left me trying to catch up. The bible even speaks about things that are far too complicated for us to understand.

In the 30th chapter of Proverbs, we read about some interesting questions. Looking speficially at verses 18-19, the writer says there are three things that amaze him and one he will never understand. The eagle flying through the sky, the snake sunbathing on a rock and a boat that is able to float on the water. All of these happen everyday and sound pretty simple, don't they? We take the wonders of God's creation for granted everyday of our lives. What also struck me about this passage is the fact that if we struggle to grasp these common concepts, how is our brain supposed to understand the wonders of God? Short answer? We aren't.

As far as the one thing the writer will never understand? The power of love between a man and a woman. As a man, husband and father I can definitely say AMEN to that :-)

I hope you have a great rest of your week. See you in church Sunday...
