If The Shoe Fits

Having had horses most of my life, I am very familiar with how and when to put "shoes" on a horse. Before placing a horseshoe on a horse's hoof, the farrier will sometimes spend a long period of time heating, hammering and bending a shoe in order for it to fit properly. This is due to the fact that each horse's hoof is unique and different than others. If the farrier did not perform this necessary work, the shoe would not fit properly, cause additional pain and not provide the needed relief.

Ephesians 2:10 tells us, For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Like a horseshoe, Jesus is working on each of us until He finds the right fit. In order to do so, we may have to go through the fiery furnace, be knocked around from time to time and "refitted" when necessary.

If you are going through a rough time, place your faith in the Master Farrier and allow Him to mold you. Just like the owner who wants what is best for their horse, Jesus is bending and shaping to allow us to become the best version of ourselves!
