Smarter Than God?

Although it may seem strange, some people have let the enemy convince them that they are smarter than God and really don't need Him. In talking with both believers and non-believers, I hear many say, "I am okay and don't think I need more God in my life." How very sad and heartbreaking that we have fallen into the greatest lie the devil whispers in our ear, "you really don't need God in your life."

Proverbs 26:12 tells us, Do you see a person wise in their own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for them. With all of today's technology, convenience and ease of life we have become comfortable with being comfortable. And, the more comfortable we become, the less likely we are to pursue a daily walk with Jesus. We may reach out to Him when something bad happens or we need to complain about how our lives have unfairly been impacted. Other than that, we are content living for the world and all it has to offer us. Our minds have been programmed to think temporarily and not eternally.

Today, I encourage you to gain wisdom by realizing how unwise you are. When the world is telling me how smart I am is when I begin to become concerned...
