The Great Physician

Although I am thankful for doctors and nurses, I do not enjoy going to visit them. It always amuses me when the doctor looks at you and asks, "what do you think is wrong?" Many times, medical professionals (physicians, counselors, athletic trainers, etc...) can diagnosis, treat and help fix our issues.

As Christians, we have The Great Physician. Jesus came to heal the sick. He can cure us mentally, spiritually and physically. When modern medicine fails, we can be healed by the power of prayer and the unlimited healing power of Christ.

Psalms 147:3 tells us, "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds." Jesus knows more about our minds and bodies than anyone (including you and I), cares more for us than anyone in this world and has more medical knowledge than the very best doctors from the very best hospitals.

At Otsego First Baptist, we have several members of our flock suffering from various types of ailments. As your pastor, I am thankful we have a God that we can cry out to, who hears our prayers and can also heal us...
