The Truth Shall Set You Free

It seems like our world has its truth. Truth of who we were (our history), truth of who we are (gender confusion) and truth of what we were made to be. The Apostle John speaks about truth in great detail. Specifically, we read the words written in red where Jesus is speaking about truth.

I believe Jesus is referring to Himself when He talks about knowing the truth and how that can set us free. Many of those that were with Jesus while He was talking did not understand the freedom of which He spoke. We, sometimes, do the same thing when Jesus speaks to us. We try to understand His eternal words with our temporary (worldly) ears.

As believers, Jesus tells us He is the way and the truth and the life. What an incredible comfort to you and me. With Jesus, we know and have the truth! What a blessing in a world that becomes more confusing by the day. Along with knowing the truth, we are also expected to use that truth in our lives. As we begin the celebration of the most powerful week in all of history, what a perfect time to recognize and give thanks to an all-loving God that gave us truth in His Son...
