As part of the ministry at Otsego First Baptist, each Wednesday we will be looking at a passage from either Psalms or Proverbs. These two books of the Bible have SO much wisdom that can help us in our daily walk. I encourage you to take some time to pray and reflect after reading each post. Have a great rest of your week; I look forward to seeing you in Church on Sunday :-)

*Psalm 23 The Lord is My Shepherd

Probably one of the most well know verses in the entire Bible (along with John 3:16). I used to carry a copy of this passage with me in my cruiser while I was a trooper. It gave me a sense of peace in midst of all the things I encountered as a law enforcement officer. While the entire chapter can speak into our daily lives, Otsego First Baptist has adopted a portion of verse 5 to be our "calling card". "Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies.". In our sanctuary, we have an actual table with one chair. On the table is a place setting (plate and cup). This chair is for you and for me. This place at the table is for anyone who wants to experience the good news of Jesus Christ. All are welcome...
