Several passages of the bible refer to the nation of Israel as God's chosen. Psalms 122:6-9 says, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.” For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, “Peace be within you.” For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your prosperity."

Today's headlines are filled with news of war in Israel. From the writing of the old testament through the present day, this area of the world has been a battleground both physically and spiritually. Prophecies from God's Word continue to be fulfilled.

I ask that you take a few moments to pray for the people of Israel and all that have been impacted by the enemy who is at work and seems to be gaining power by the inaction of some.

Take heart, as Christians we have been given the assurance of final victory. I hope you have a blessed week and look forward to seeing you in church on Sunday...
