Well Done Kathryn

This week, our church experienced a great loss in the passing of Sister Kathryn (Gravitt). For those fortunate enough to know her, Kathryn was a saint in this world. Although extremely ornery at times, she could literally make you feel the love of Christ through her approach to life. Her faith never waivered including her last days spent in a nursing home as her mortal body faded day by day.

In the 25th chapter of the Book of Matthew, we read a parable of a master's interaction with his servants. After listening to what some of the servants had done with the "talents" he had given them, the master said, "Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of the lord."

As we mourn the loss of Kathryn, we rejoice and give thanks that she is now enjoying her reward. Although there may be sadness here on earth, the angels are singing and rejoicing welcoming her home. Well done Kathryn...
