You Have To Choose

The time has come for all of us to choose a side. No, I am not talking about a certain sports team, political party or even a hotly debate topic in our society. Each of us must choose whom we will serve: God or man. For each of us who profess Christ and our faith in Jesus, there is a fight coming. If you look closely enough, you can see the enemy working where he has been slowly chipping away at our collective moral value as a nation.

Whether it be through our families, workplace or even church the devil has deceptively inserted sin into every aspect of our lives and we are siding with him. Maybe it is what you allow your children to be exposed to through social media, television or school. Or, it could be a decision you are facing at work where the choice has to be made between your job/paycheck and the willingness to compromise your set of biblical values. Even scarier, the enemy has creeped into our churches where he promises the "world" if we only preach parts of the bible.

In the old testament, Joshua (24:15) tells the Israelites, they need to make a decision. Will they serve the God that has been with them, saved them from danger and forgave their sins time and time again? Or, will they continue to turn back to the temptations of the world only to be let down, disappointed and reach back out to God?

I say this to each of you with the love of Christ in my heart; you have to choose. And when you do, it will need to be all in our left out. You may be thinking to yourself, "this isn't the kind of stuff I want to hear." That may be true but it is the stuff you need to hear...
