Band of Brothers

In my life, I have met a lot of people. Many have been through sports, work or in church. During different seasons of my life, I have enjoyed getting to know various individuals who have impacted me in a positive way; hopefully, they feel the same way about me. My relationship with some grew deeper than with others. I have found there is a strong difference between an a acquaintance and true friend of which I have only a few (I guess you can say I have a small circle :-).
Along with the blessings of friendship, we also have brothers and sisters in Christ. Our church family is filled with like-minded people who enjoy spending time together and uplift one another through prayer and fellowship; which by the way is why God created us in the first place! Your church family should sincerely care for you and weep when you weep and rejoice when you rejoice. And, just like any family there will be times you do not get along but still love one another.
In addition, the very fortunate have those in their lives that neither time or distance can diminish the bond that is shared. Since the fifth grade, I have had brothers that continue to speak truth and love into my life. Through His overflowing mercy, God has now placed me in a position to spend more time with Scott and Jay who also feel the hand of God working in their lives. In sharing our current season of life with each other, there is no doubt our paths are merging for His purpose.
Proverbs 17:17 tells us A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.
As unworthy as I am, God continues to bless me with the bonds of friendship and brotherhood. If you are searching for this type of love and support, I pray you begin by looking to Jesus…
