Fearfully Unique

The writer of the Book of Psalms (139: 1-5, 13-16) tells us the God knew our reins or inner-most being even before we were born. Not only does this shed light into when life begins from a biblical perspective, it also speaks of the Divine Hand that has been upon each of our lives. God knew, and knows everything about you and me. Our highs and lows, successes and failures, decisions, thoughts and relationships. There are no surprises in a life He uniquely created for you (and me). Some may look at the predestination of a Divine Creator and say, "What does it matter what I do?" While others will understand and say, "It means everything!"

As I continued to read His Word, I found a somewhat unbelievable truth: we were not made to fear failure. Instead, we secretly fear the unique success in discovering who we are in Jesus. Each of us has a beautifully scripted testimony that begins before our birth and continues beyond our death. Nobody will ever have the same one. Ever. God created ONE of you. A perfect creation in His eyes. The question is: do you have the faith to live it out to its' fullest?

Many of us have experienced moments of self-doubt and/or low self-esteem. Certainly, these can be natural feelings as we journey through this life. However, if you have begun to identify yourself through the lenses of being a failure; my question is this: who are you listening to?

See you in church...
