Keep Your Feet on Level Ground

Lovel and I love the outdoors. We enjoy hiking, camping, horseback riding and sitting around a campfire. Our children, on the other hand, like air conditioning, indoor plumbing and comfortable beds. When you are in nature, you should always keep your senses open and be aware of your surroundings. She and I both have lost our footing a time or two while on the trail!


Psalms 143:10 tells us, "Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground." The writer is asking God to teach him His will and lead him on level ground where he has sure footing. In other words, his prayer is for the Lord to allow him to travel through this world with confidence in his steps! What a great prayer to begin everyday with, asking God to guide your steps so that you may have confidence no matter what you may face.
