Let God Work

Is God working in your life? Have you opened your heart and mind to His will? We talk and sing about it in church but do we really let God work in our lives? You might rightfully say, "God doesn't need my permission to work." How wonderful is it that he wants our permission!

In Romans, Paul talks about being transformed through the reviewing of our minds. In other words, as long as we are conforming to this world, we can never truly allow God to fully work in our lives. Continuing his thoughts in chapter 12, verse 2 Paul confirms we cannot experience or fulfill the will of God unless this transformation takes place.

There are three ways in which we can let God work in our lives:

  • LISTEN - The bible says to be still and know that I am God. Too many times, the "noise" of this world prevents us from hearing what He has to say about our lives.

  • LEARN - Proverbs 2:6 - For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

  • LIVE - Are you speaking and showing Jesus in your daily walk? Are you living for Him or someone/something else? What occupies your mind throughout the day?

Although these biblical principles make it easy to understand, many still struggle to let God work in their lives. Why? They are still conformed to this world and the sin that abounds...
