Smile, God Loves You

What do other people see when they look at you? Do they see the love of Jesus in your approach to life? Do they someone that is happy and content even during troubling times? Or, do they see someone carrying around the weight of the world in their expression?

As Christians, we (should) know and believe that we are loved by God. So loved, that He sent His only Son to die on a cross for our sins. A love so great that we have trouble comprehending it. That should put a smile on our face! The love of God inside of us should also motivate to share our joy with others. Proverbs 11:24-25 tells us, 24 One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.

25 A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. The joy in our heart should be apparent on our faces and attitudes when interacting with others. Do you give of your time and resources to others with a grateful heart? Or, do you do so begrudgingly? Our blessings are meant to be shared, not kept in a closet for just our own use.

I encourage you to bless someone today with a genuine smile and kind word. By doing so, God tells us that you will both be refreshed. Enjoy the rest of your week and all that has been provided to you; see you in church Sunday...
