The Hand of God

God's providence has always existed to: give, instruct, love and discipline. Throughout the bible this is demonstrated by using His hand as a symbol of this providence that takes on physical properties. As Christians, we have witnessed His hand upon our lives in many ways.

He stretches out His hand to protect us or stop us from making a mistake. We have felt His loving hand on our shoulder to comfort us or admonish us as our Father. God has cupped His hand to supply our needs and pointed His finger to guide our way.

The prophet Isaiah tells us in chapter 48 (verse 13) Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together. Thanks be to a loving hand of God that provides for His children!

See you in church tomorrow...
