What Are You Worth?

At times, the world can be a cold and unforgiving place. We can feel forgotten, used and taken advantage of by the very things that we sought both value and worth. Nothing can be more difficult than to find out that you have been cast aside by something or someone you have poured your heart and soul into. Whether it be a relationship, a job or a position that provides power and authority many of us work ourselves to death (literally) trying to find value in who we are.

The writer of the Book of Psalms (most likely David) tells us in the 139th chapter, For you created my inmost being you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Our true worth cannot be found in the things of this world. I see so many struggling as they continue to search, find for a moment and then lose their sense of value or worth. The bible tells us we are fearfully and wonderfully made. You have worth that no one in this world can take from you (unless you let them). You are a unique creation in Christ! Allow yourself to distance from the frantic pace of the world and let Him speak to your heart and mind about how much you are truly loved...
