Most Christians have several favorite passages from the Bible with maybe one, in particular, that has sustained, strengthened and soothed over the years. Whether it is a well-known verse or a lesser known passage, God’s Word has the ability to reach and impact individuals in different ways.

I invite you to take a moment, open your Bible and re-read your go to verse. Then, I encourage you to spend some time with Jesus talking about it. Both He and the Father created us and gave us the Word for this very reason: to read it, meditate on it and put it into action. It never ceases to amaze me the power of God’s Word and its ability to speak into our lives at just the right time!

Like you, I have several verses that have meant a great deal to me. My go to verse is Romans 8:35-39. Paul’s words are so powerful and all encompassing. They are a promise and a challenge all wrapped in one. We are so quick, sometimes, to give up or give in when things start to look impossible. Through the Apostle Paul, God’s Word provides us the necessary courage to fight on. With this promise, we can confront and overcome ANYTHING this world throws at us. During tomorrow’s service at Otsego First Baptist, we will be sharing our favorite verses with one another as well as some delicious food afterwards. I invite you to join us for both…
