Where Is Your Victory?

Vince Lombardi, a successful coach for the Green Bay Packers, once said, "I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle — victorious."

Although Coach Lombardi was talking about sports, this quote rings true through biblical principles. On Resurrection Sunday, we celebrate ultimate victory in Jesus. His finest hour: risen from a guarded tomb to sit at His Father's right hand. All of prophecy fulfilled in this moment having worked His heart out during His ministry and dying for you and for me. He was exhausted hanging on a cross after having been beaten, mocked and crucified.

The battle had been fought, victory secured and death conquered. God sent His only Son to fight for us. Our victory secured through His good work, eternity promised through His resurrection.

Paul writes to the church in Corinth and provides the The Victor's Shout beginning in verse 55 of the 15th chapter: O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is they victory? (57) but thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our victory has been secured through the blood of Jesus Christ. I invite you to celebrate and join us tomorrow for church...
