You Are Going To Have To Choose

I stand before you today victorious. Not sad, angry, hurt, hopeless or depressed. Certainly many may have these feelings and understandable so. It is natural to mourn loss. But, thanks be to God’s Son, we do not have to be defeated by it!

The time has come to choose a side. If you do not (“I don’t want to get involved”), a side will be chosen for you and your loved ones. For those that profess Christ, there is a fight coming. The enemy is very present in our society and each of us must choose to fight or comply. There is a well known quote that is based on 1 John 3:17. The quote speaks of the need and and duty to do good: The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

Throughout the Bible, there are examples of individuals having to choose. In his first letter to the church of Philippi, Paul spoke in length of having to choose between his desire to remain on earth and go home to be with God. Joshua had to choose for his family and Daniel chose God even if He did not save him from a painful death.

I encourage you today to choose whom you and your house will serve. There is no neutral in the fight that stands before us…
