Are you truly content in your current surroundings? Do you often think how better life would be if you just had ____________ (fill in the blank). Paul talks about contentment in his book to the church in Phillipi. Like us, Paul struggled to find contentment in his surroundings which consisted of many highs and lows, including imprisonment, being shipwrecked, blindness and a lot of doubters, In fact, many of these challenges happened AFTER he experienced Christ and converted to Christianity!

Contentment is defined as a state of peaceful happiness; which leads to gratefulness. Gratefulness leads to joy and joy leads to true peace. The enemy will try to convince us that true happiness can only be gained by wordly things. He will try to make you discontented with what God has blessed you with.

I encourage you to concentrate on what you have and not what you want. You and I are BLESSED!

One of the many blessings in my life is being a part of Otsego First Baptist; I encourage you to join us and experience God's presence and power.

See you in church...
