Do They Want What You Have?

Imagine if you were the only example someone saw of what a Christian is supposed to be; what they are supposed to look, talk and act like. Now, imagine if that person was making a life-changing decision based on what they saw from you. Hard for you to imagine? It shouldn't be. In fact, that very scenario plays out everyday as we journey through this world.

It is time for us, as the church, to stop assuming that everyone knows Christ. Sadly, the opposite is becoming more of a reality: many simply have not been told about or seen Jesus modeled. Even more concerning is the amount of children who have an inherent desire to know about their Creator and why they were created yet, have no one in their families that are sharing the good news with them. That young person you interact with in various settings INCLUDING CHURCH may make a decision to follow or reject Christ because of what they saw in you!

Psalm 34:8 tells us Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! In other words, find out for yourself how good the Lord is. The Great Commission charges each of us with a responsibility to share the gospel with a lost and dying world. This should not be done by judgment, condemnation or hated. Rather, we have the amazing opportunity to model Jesus and His love to a spiritually starved world. Even better, we have written guidelines on how to live a kind of life that others would want. What is that you ask? As Christians, we have the blessed hope of forgiveness and salvation through a Risen Savior. Who wouldn't want to be us??
