You may have heard the term "prosperity gospel" which sometimes alludes to the idea that life is easy, carefree and (financially) prosperous when someone begins to follow Christ. While it is true that Jesus can provide life more abundantly, neither He nor the bible every promised that becoming a Christian would take all your troubles away. In fact, the bible tells us that you will incur more issues when you do ask Jesus to come into your heart and save your soul!

What God the Father, the Son and Holy Ghost do promise is to never leave us or forsake us in times of trouble. Psalms 34:19 tells us, "The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all". As believers, this passage tells us three things: 1) we will have trials and tribulations in our lives 2) God is with us and 3) in His time and in His way, He will deliver us from all of them.

You may be in a dark place right now. Fear not my friend, you have the light of the Son to show you the way. Cry out to God in your distress asking Him to direct and comfort you; He has promised to deliver you...
