Talk Is Cheap

A lot of people talk about the things that should be happening or that they should be doing. Many times it unfortunately ends there. When someone is in need, we all should be praying for that person. However, we should also put our prayers for the needs of others into actions. For example, if you know someone is hungry; praying for them to have food is wonderful. It also wonderful to give them a peanut butter sandwich!

Proverbs 14:23 tells us that talk is cheap: All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty. As Christians, we are expected to care for our family and those we come in contact with (that are truly in need). Don't let a blessing from God end with you. They are meant to be passed on to someone else.

Otsego First Baptist is filled with people who put actions to their words. Whether it be through prayer, visitations, cards, gifts or just an uplifting texts, I am overjoyed to be a member of such a giving group of God's People.

This past week, we had several of our members step up and help with the fuel oil tank we use for heat so that we can (hopefully) have church while we work on what is the next step financially for this system. I am thankful for all of you and so is Jesus :-)
