The Breath of God

In Genesis, we learn how God created the heavens and the earth and how he brought life to the creatures in the water and of the air and on the earth. On the sixth day, he created man and breathed life into his nostrils. This is an important distinction between humans and the rest of creation.

By breathing life into us, the Creator gave each of us a soul. As an all-knowing God, He did so with the understanding that the Holy Spirit would be sent to us one day and a soul was necessary to do so. An all-present God also created an eternal need for His presence in our lives in order to fully live.

There are many passages that talk about the breath of God in the bible; I look forward to learning more together about this important part of our relationship with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

My hope is you will join me in church tomorrow to share in His word...
